Job Description – Assistant Branch Manager-Retail

Reporting: Branch Manager
Description:The Assistant Branch Manager-Retail is a leadership role, responsible for working directly with the Branch Manager to ensure optimal performance pertaining to branch operations, ensuring quality customer service, employee growth and development, and achievement of assigned metrics and goals. An Assistant Branch Manager-Retail must be proficient in marketing and cross-selling products and services, as well as performing customer service, branch operations, and providing valuable product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:- Assists with managing branch personnel including training, mentoring, and development; monitoring, evaluating, and coaching performance; and staffing, scheduling, prioritizing, and delegating work assignments.
- Serves as lead counter salesperson for the branch. Pushes product promotions and other company initiatives and holds other counter sales staff members accountable for these standards.
- Works with Manager to ensure daily operational tasks are completed on an ongoing basis.
- Promotes a positive image of the company; develops and maintains effective business relationships with customers, employees, and retail partners.
- Addresses and resolves complex customer service issues and employee disputes.
- Actively participates in company functions and community activities as a representative of the company.
- Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

- Solid technology skills, including ability to navigate and search related websites, and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft office (Excel, Office, Word, and SharePoint).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and achieve results through the effort of others.
- Flexibility to work weekend or evening hours.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
- 3-5 years customer service or sales experience preferred.
- 1-3 years HVAC supply experience preferred.
Formal Education & Certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Travel: Up to 25% local travel expected
Working Conditions: Conditions involve lifting no more than thirty pounds, standing most of the time, and may involve walking, moving, or sitting for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like HVAC equipment.
